American Axle and Manufacturing (AAM), the world's largest supplier of automotive driveline assemblies with 85 facilities across 18 countries and $6 billion in annual revenue, required all operators and supervisors to complete quarterly job instruction reviews to ensure everyone remained current with processes and maintained high product quality. However, AAM was using Excel spreadsheets to track these critical audits. With tens of thousands of employees spread globally across multiple plants, it became nearly impossible to track and ensure all audits were completed on time. The challenge was compounded by the need to submit proof of completion nearly two months before the deadline, adding stress and requiring critical resources to focus on non-value-added activities instead of their core work.
Solution
