"
December 9, 2009 — Computer Associates, Inc. (CAI) announced today that it has been invited to join
Microsoft's Distribution Partner Advisory Group ("DPAG"). The DPAG is a group of eleven, invitation-only
Microsoft Gold Certified partners that work together to provide and share business expertise, intelligence
and best practices within the distribution industry in order to offer customers the best experience when
choosing business solutions and services.
“CAI’s participation in Microsoft’s Partner Advisory Group greatly enhances our ability to deliver forward-thinking
distribution software solutions to our clients throughout New England and the entire northeast region, ultimately
enabling them to be more successful in their businesses,” said Pat Gannon, vice president for CAI. “We have a unique
opportunity to help influence and shape Microsoft's approach to delivering highly differentiated business solutions,
while at the same time tuning product and channel strategies to the needs of our customers.”
CAI’s IDEAS™ software, based on Microsoft's Dynamics™ NAV Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software, provides businesses
with a suite of convenient and integrated financial, manufacturing, supply chain management, sales and marketing and
services management software tools offer a user experience tailored to peoples’ roles within each distribution
organization—helping them work productively, make confident decisions and respond quickly to new marketplace
opportunities.
Michael Shoemaker, Executive Vice President for Microsoft, said, “CAI is one of the most experienced thought leaders in the wholesale consumer packaged goods distribution channel. They have a great deal of expertise in installing and supporting Microsoft Dynamics solutions in small to mid-size customer environments and, as a conduit for critical client and partner-centric input, will be instrumental in Microsoft’s efforts to connect current market issues and opportunities with product development.”
"As a select member of the Distribution Partner Advisory Group, we not only gain early insight into product
and product roadmaps directly from Microsoft, but we’re also able to take the business requirements from
our clients and address them directly with Microsoft, resulting in a superior customer experience. We
look forward to working closely with Microsoft to continue to offer affordable and cost-effective
software solutions for our distribution clients,” Gannon added.
